Wu-Tang Clan has just released a new album from there “Wu Tang Meets the Indie Culture” series “ENTER THE DUBSTEP” featuring the ever growing Dubstep genre.  This 19 track album comes with a mash-up of Hip Hop Lyrics from the members of the Wu Tang Clan and there affiliates over some of Dubstep top producers dirtiest beats.

With this highly anticipated album i could not wait to get my hands on it,  at first listen i was quite disappointed with it, i was expecting remakes of the classics from the Enter the 36 Chamber album and as you probably know by now that it not true.  Anyway i kept an open mind and gave to a second listen,  i came to realize that the dubstep beats are off the wall, grimy, filthy, in your face that i came to love about Dubstep music but the one problem was the rapping.  Yes the rapping was good for Hip Hop but not for Dubstep,  i was expecting allot more from a group of MC’s of that calibre to do research and change up there style to suit the genre instead of doing the same old boring content.

My third listen i enjoyed it more,  one track stood out the most for me “Biochemical Equation” featuring RZA and MF Doom showcase some darker lyrics reminiscent of the GraveDiggaz which was a really nice surprise.  After few more listens i came to really like this album, it is mixed well and catchy,  all in all i give this album 3.5 out of 5 for effort and the possilities of converting peeps to dubstep.  Download it, sit back and give it a try, if you like hip hop over Dubstep this is your album but if you don’t…. well i hope they come out with an instrumental album cause i give the beats 5 out of 5,  let keep our fingers crossed.
